The Carrots - Ladies of Givens

I know I've posted this band before (hello best-songs-of-2006) but I just listened to this song and realised it's fantastic, and even though I had something truly great and moving written about another song, this one just beats it, so this is what you get instead. If we could somehow figure out how to get God to listen to this song, He'd make sure nobody ever falls out of love again.

Download the rest of the Carrots' EP here. It's so good it makes me wince when I tell people how good it is.

New to me. Thank you for introducing them. They remind me a bit on Lucky Soul, which I'm fallen in love with lately. Or vice verce, if I consider that this is a song of 2006 ...

I've already spotted links to a Lucky Soul Interview as well as to a My Brightest Diamond one. They will be clicked both - since "Gone away" is my recently most played song ...

Probably I hadn't said a word here and just taken all the benefits, if I hadn't liked the Mirabeau quote so much as your Nietzsche avatar.

Nice blog, bookmarked!

glad you enjoyed it. I think if the Carrots made an album of songs as good as their demo, they could easily rival Lucky Soul in my fickle affections.

Never heard of The Carrots...they're great, thanks! But there's no way they're coming close to Lucky Soul for me. I adore LS too much; they are dominating my summer.

And is there any chance you're still gonna post the "other song"?
