Deradoorian - Lost Another

You start this song by leaning out an apartment window on a quiet city evening, violence in the air, out of sight, around the corner. Sirens in the distance sound like ringing guitars, and the noise of distant traffic trundling through thin streets reaches your ears like the city's background vocals. Your home is empty and feels as big as a cloud.
The light seems to lessen with every passing minute, until the tension leads you out, out the door and onto the concrete, wet with night and neon. You walk quickly until you notice you can see the stars above, and you can't see them as anything but little blinking car headlights, the signals from another distant city, a mirror of your own, angels on dirty backstreets walking through the cold.
