Annuals + Bob Ross

Annuals - Confessor

“The way that Bob made his paintings, and the way he paints in particular, is pretty similar to the way that our band makes a record. Bob Ross starts his paintings with simple little smudges and blotches, making ‘happy trees’ or ‘cute little bridges,’ and he seems to be having ‘such fun’ doing it... It seems like all of the happy, lovely places he paints always have a bit of sad loneliness and isolation to them too, and some of the songs on our new album can definitely relate to that duality.”

Well, after three and a half years, I've finally found an excuse to mention Bob Ross - Annuals have chosen one of his paintings to grace the cover of their new record. Be He Me was a fine album that never quite recovered from the fact that its opener, 'Brother' was better than everything else on it - but it's a safe bet, from this track, to assume that Such Fun will be worth our attention.

Also - Final Fantasy's new Spectrum EP might well be the best thing he has ever done.

Agreed!
Also, do you know where online I can find the lyrics to the album? The music is a journey in and of itself, and I would love to be able to appreciate it with the lyrics.
